Provisional Pledge

As the proposer, I am committing to mentor my candidate by working with the seconding sponsors to see that he/she participates fully their provisional year as an active member. • Attends any orientation session/s for new members. • Attends a minimum of 4 monthly meetings a year. • Attends one Horticulture and one Conservation Committee Meeting during their first provisional year and joins one of those committees for one year. • Participates in our annual October fundraiser, Pizzazz, and any other fundraisers done for GCAC. All members of GCAC are asked to annually consider being a benefactor, patron or sponsor of Pizzazz. All members of GCAC are expected to annually volunteer for at least one shift at Pizzazz or any other GCAC fundraiser by: staffing a vendor booth, working at the reception table or any other task they are asked to do in support of Pizzazz or any other fundraiser. • Participates in the New Members’ Project. New members will serve as the hosts for the May Membership Meeting at the end of their provisional year. The provisional class will not only plan the coffee, food and beverages and see to all aspects of set up/take down (tables, cloths, chairs, centerpieces), but will also organize a “Hands-On” project with all the elements needed to complete the project. The project will be based on the organization chosen with the guidance of the Program & Membership Chairs. All GCAC members will be invited to attend and participate in the New Members’ Project/May Membership meeting. • Serves as a co-host with other GCAC members for a monthly Membership Meeting approximately once every three years, sharing in any additional expenses. • Serves by participating on committees and is willing to consider holding office for GCAC, GCA Zone V and The GCA when asked. • Pays annual dues promptly upon receipt of notice when sent by the treasurer in the summer.
